Another cache brought to you by the gang at the
USCGA
This will be a meeting of the Upstate South Carolina Geocachers
Association (USCGA).
Are you ready for a little wacky and potentially ghoulish fun and
relaxation, family-style without the fist-fights?
This is the place to be!
The husband/wife team of Randomocity_Inc has been gracious enough
to, yet again, invite everyone to share their homestead for an
evening of Fall geo-fun!
Start piling in at 5:00 and mix, mingle, play games, (badminton,
hillbilly golf, corn hole, to name a few.) If there is something
that you want us to try, bring it, we'll look goofy doing it!
We will have a geocache meeting at 5:00 pm in which we'll discuss
anything and everything geocache related.
All geocachers are invited to attend. This includes all of our
friends in neighboring states. Some of the most experienced
geocachers in South Carolina will be available to answer questions
for new geocachers. This is great chance to learn about geocaching,
and to put names with faces in this region. Want to know more about
that new GPSr or GSAK, or anything else geo-related? There will be
folks on hand to talk caching until the ghosts come home!
Then, at 6:00 p.m. the wild and wacky fun begins!
Don your favorite costumes, or bring then with you for an evening
of festive chicanery. We will be having an open vote prizes in
several categories in costuming, so let’s see what
you’ve got!
Don’t forget to bring the kids because there will be games
tailored just for them, hayrides, goodies and even a little game we
like to call, "Diggin' in brains for micros!"
Also, there will be a "Bring-your-own" pumpkin decorating contest!
If you need to carve your Jack-o-lantern, for safety, please do the
cutting prior to the event. For the kids, we will have markers and
stickers available for them to get as creative as only they
can!
Hot dogs and hot dog making "stuff" will be provided, so bring your
favorite side-dishes, desserts, drinks, etc. *No Alcohol, please!*
If you prefer to char something other than a wiener, feel free to
bring it, and we’ll scorch it, too! Also bring your most
comfortable chairs, because we’ll be grilling on the patio,
roasting over the bon fire, and picnicking in the yard. NOTE! This
event is strictly “BYOS” (Bring your own
sm’ores!)
As the sun goes down, there will be an opportunity to go on an
elusive “Snipe” hunt on the mysterious “Carolina
Trail.” Just be sure to keep your wits about you. There are
some pretty strange tales about this area. (Clowns, chickens and
chainsaws come to mind…)
The fun winds down at 8:30...because us ghouls need our
beauty-sleep!
As with our other meetings, there will be a raffle for door prizes!
(donations are appreciated but not required)
