Thevenard Slipway
While recovering from mechanical breakdown and not able to attend Sunny Side Up ,we the Scrambled Eggs have put out a number of caches near or around Ceduna, this is one of them. This was a very useful piece of equipment in its heyday but has slipped into a sorry state since the South Australian government handed this and many other maratime facillaties over to Local Councils who do not have the finances available to them to maintain all these properties at most they have just enough spare cash for the jetties in their area.I believe this was last operational in 1997, its a pity because any local fishing trawler, local tug or deep sea fishing vessel has to go to Port Lincoln for maintenance or repairs. The cache is a Eclipse container with just a log book and pencil so no swaps thankyou. This cache will be looked after by a local geocaher,Captash but I have not sort their assistance in setting up this cache so they will have rights to ftf like anyone else.Happy fishing.
