Geocache Description:

This cache was placed with permission from the Morton County Water Board. I spoke with a Morton County Commissioner and with the chairman of the Water Board, I am grateful for their support.

The Morton County Harmon Lake Recreation Area is already a jewel, and it's only going to get better based on the plans being made for it (see more info at (visit link) then click on Morton County Parks link). You can hike in on the trail or take your bike, either way you'll definitely enjoy the landscape and views. I would suggest you bring along a camera. Please note that the trail is only for hiking and biking, no horses or motorized vehicles. If you see trash please help keep this area attractive, please practice CITO, thanks.

This cache was placed a short distance from the trail in the area where the chain broke on my bike a few months before the cache was placed. I would not recommend looking for this cache in the winter when there is snow/drifted snow. The distance from what I call the north trail head (near the camping area) is about 2.8 miles. The cache container is ye ol' ammo can, with lots of good swag in it. Be sure to bring your own writing instrument even though when placed there was a pencil in the cache. Please be sure to arrange the can as you found it, thanks.

Happy caching and enjoy!
