Since I was nearing my 25th hide and my 250th find,I wanted to mark these milestones and hide caches somewhere that was meaningful to me. For many years I have visited Emerson Lake, a small lake stocked with brook trout. There is a portage at the north end of the lake that leads to East Emerson Lake which is also stocked with trout.
This is the first of the series. I've hidden this cache near the beginning of the road leading into Emerson. The lake itself is a few miles down the road and a truck or suv is best. This road is a piece of the old highway and is maintained only by those that use it. Caution should be taken and avoid the potholes! Congratulations Moonsocket on being the first finder!
