A large lock-n-lock with room for goodies and trackables. This was once placed in a double room outhouse that the school kids used...but a big storm came in May 2015 and huffed and puffed and blew the out down! Thanks to the many locals of Sandgate...the original cache has been saved...twice...and remains for your pleasure! M2
This is a letterbox hybrid. Letterboxing is another form of treasure hunting that uses clues to direct hunters to a hidden container. Each letterbox contains a stamp which is the signature for that box. Most letterboxers have their own personal stamps and personal logbooks. They stamp the letterbox logbook with their personal stamp, and use the stamp contained in the letterbox to "sign" their personal logbook. Letterbox hybrids are a mixture of letterbox and geocache. They should contain a signature stamp that stays with the box, and they must conform to the guidelines for geocaches and therefore must contain a logbook and involve GPS use as an integral part of the hunt. You may use the rubber stamp in the cache to stamp your log and if you have one, you may use yours to stamp the cache's log. Please do not take the stamp and pad from the cache. Located behind the old one room schoolhouse in Sandgate.
