This quest, fair knight, is to discover if thou art worthy of the Holy Grail.
The Grail itself is to be found within the remains of The Siege Perilous in the area where once the Round Table stood.
To find the Grail, thou must find the great knight, and he who was entrusted to return the sword Caliburn to the lake, Bedwyr, who wilt furnish thee with a number that thou wilt need to find the Grail. Furthermore, thou wilt have to discover the whereabouts of our king and four other knights.
These knights are:
Our gracious liege, Arthur
Gawain
Cei
Peredur
Leodegrance
Once thou hast these numbers, thou wilt have the information thou require to discover The Holy Grail
A location is provided for an area where thou canst leave thy steed when in search of Bedwyr.
Do not forget to note the number that thou retreivest!
I wish thee well, fair knight, and good fortune!
In Arthurian legend, Sir Bedivere (Welsh: Bedwyr; French: Bédoier, also spelt Bedevere) is the Knight of the Round Table who returns Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake. He serves as King Arthur's marshal and is frequently associated with Sir Kay. Sir Lucan is his brother, Sir Griflet is his cousin. The Welsh give him a son and daughter named Amren and Eneuawc. Bedivere, along with Kay and Gawain, is one of the earliest characters associated with King Arthur. His name in Welsh is Bedwyr Bedrydant (Bedivere of the Perfect Sinews). He is described as one-handed, yet still an excellent warrior. Wikipedia
