Geocaching
Vi fejrer
vores 1 år i Geocaching, med denne lille jubilæums
cache.
Vi blev
introduceret til Geocaching af 5xJessen, i september 2009 og fandt
vores første cache d. 7. oktober
2009.
Vi startede med at låne en GPS af DDS spejderne
i Hørning, en gul Garmin Etrex, med manuel indtastning af
koordinater, vi viste jo ikke bedre.
Vores første cache, som vi loggede var Hørning station, en lille
micro der voldte os nogle problemer.
Siden hen er det bare gået der ud af, nu er vi altid bevæbnet med
vores nu to GPS'r og en bærbar PC, sådan i tilfælde af - hvis nu
lige - vi skulle falde over en cache.
Uanset hvor tåbeligt det kan lyde for udenforstående, sådan at
rende rundt med en GPS i hånden og finde små plastikbøtter i
naturen, så er det en fantastisk måde, at komme ud og opleve
på.
Vi har lavet et skærmbillede af vores bedrifter, som det så ud på
årsdagen, ikke for at prale, for der er andre der har udrette langt
mere end os, men for at huske hvad vi udrettede de første 12
måneder vi geocachede.
1 year Geocaching
We celebrate our 1'th year in Geocaching, with this little
anniversary cache.
We were introduced to geocaching by 5xJessen, in September 2009 and
found our first cache 7th October 2009.
We started to borrow a GPS from DDS scouts in Hørning, a yellow
Garmin eTrex, with manual entry of coordinates, we got no
better.
Our first cache, which we signed was Hørning station, a small micro
that caused us some problems.
Since then it has only gone forward, now we are always armed with
our two GPS'r and a laptop, so in case of - if just now - we would
come across a cache.
No matter how ridiculous it may sound to outsiders, running
around with a GPS in hand and find small plastic boxes in the
wild, it's a wonderful way of experiencing.
We've created a screen dump of our holdings as it looked
on the anniversary day, not to brag, because there are others who
do far more than us, but to remember what we accomplished the first
12 months we geocached.
