Geocache Description:

Obviously the cache is not at the given coordinates.

Some time ago I was helping a friend browse through some stuff his grandfather left when he died. As he was a World War II veteran and intelligence officer, he kept all sorts of strange things that caught his attention during the war.

Among his possesions we found an old notebook with all sorts of paper cuts and articles from around 1942. His records start in the first days of december 1941 and continue throughout the war years.

While we were browsing through his notes, two old pages fell on the ground. We quickly found his side notes :

"Today I found another strange letter. It looks just like the one I received through mail two month ago. This one too has my return address on it, but I never sent neither of them. They are both written using a typewriter, and from what I can tell, it is the same machine, so they must come from the same person. I can feel there is more to these letters than just a plain coincidence, but I cannot see what it is..."

We spent all day trying to figure out what it was all about, but we had no luck... We couldn't crack this mistery. If my friend's grandfather had any thoughts on this, he may have as well taken them to his grave...

So I thought that maybe a fellow geocacher may take a shot at this, helping us solve this mistery.

There is a small prize for the FTF : a Geoquest 2010 unactivated coin and a Geoquest T-Shirt; there are not many left, so hurry if you still want to find the proper size ;)

The prize is obviously not in the box. You need to send me a photo of the 'virgin' logbook to claim the prize.

Enjoy.
