Geocache Description:


Tamagawa Josui was dug in 1653 by the Tama Brothers to bring water to the growing city of Edo and to irrigate the Musashino Plain. It flows from Hamura where it was diverted from the Tama River to Yotsuya Okido. In gratitude for their service the emperor at the time granted the two brothers a surname.

It is pleasant walk up Tamagawa Josui. The cache is hidden in a pleasant little park along the banks of Tamagawa Josui near Mitaka Station on the Chuo Line right where the canal goes underground to flow under the tracks. Your GPSr may be unstable here because of the trees. This cache is part of the Tamagawa Josui Series. There is no pencil in the cache. BYOP. Enjoy the scenery while you are there and take a walk or ride a bicycle to other nearby caches. Remember if you pack it in, you pack it out.

玉川上水は江戸の成長している都市に水をもたらすためと武蔵野平野を潅漑するために多摩兄弟によって1653年に掘られた。羽村市で多摩川から四谷大木戸にまで流れる。感謝の気持ちで彼らのサービスに対して同時に天皇は二人の兄弟の姓を与えました。

玉川上水沿いに散歩したりサイクリングしたりには快適な場所です。キャッシュは、中央線三鷹駅前の運河沿いの小さいな公園に隠されている。その近くに玉川上水がトラックの下に流れる所です。木の下でGPSrの差表が不安定かもしれない。このキャッシュは、玉川上水シリーズの一部です。キャッシュの中に鉛筆がありません。キャッシュを探しながら景色を楽しんだり、散歩したり、サイクリングしたり、他の近くのキャッシュを探したらいかがでしょうか。ゴミをもちかえりましょ。
