Geocache Description:

Andrew Dow's Wood is situated just outside the village of Banton. The cache can be found close to one of the paths that take you through these woods. The paths are reasonably well used, but could be a bit muddy in wetter weather (which might be most of the time), so don't wear your Sunday best.

The path is fairly flat, with a short climb required when you approach the cache location. The location itself has a number of large stones. If anybody knows what they are, please let me know.

You can park your car next to the Swan Inn at the crossroads in the village.

You may need to take your own pen or pencil with you or you may not. You may also need something to extract the log from the container or you may not. Try and only use one space in the log.

Please make sure you secure the top of the container once you have logged your find, and try and ensure it is put back in exactly the same place you found it.

Be careful around the stones, which may be slippery when wet.

Can you see the Three Wires and the White Gate?

Good luck.

Well done to Clachanman for FTF.

NOTE: 01Sept2015:The cache is indeed still there at the location specified. I have increased the difficulty to 4 as it has been problematic for many to find it.
