Schold Farm - PHLEBOTOMY! Mystery Cache
Fledermaus: I went to the geocache site and there is a huge amount of debris over and around it.
I am declaring this geocache a "dead cow" and not worth the time to milk it anymore.

The withdrawal of blood was for the purpose of curing or preventing illness and disease. It was the most common medical practice by doctors during Medieval times and up to the late 19th century. In Modern times, this term applies to the drawing of blood for the purpose of laboratory analysis and blood transfusions.

I will tell you where to park your car, but I will not tell you where to begin your search for this cache. In any case, I can assure you that this cache is located somewhere within Schold Farm Park. So, enjoy my favorite color of red, for you will probably be seeing much more of it later!
Many things may stand in your way of seeking this cache, since Mother Nature usually keeps her wooded areas populated with many types of vegetation that cause scrapes, scratches, cuts and other common forms of blood-letting.
The Difficulty Level of this cache hunt will be dependent upon the route and season you choose to hunt for it. So, don't let your hopes get too high in finding it! In fact, you should expect and plan for a "worst case scenario"!
I suggest you take with you a First Aid Kit or make an advanced appointment with Harrison Hospital and/or the Kitsap County Blood Center, both of which are conveniently located nearby in Silverdale, just in case you need of a transfusion after this adventure.
Furthermore, prepare yourself for this hunt by wearing a long sleeved shirt or jacket, a pair of gloves, a heavy pair of jeans and sturdy, waterproof boots. You may consider taking a walking stick and a beverage with you as well.
And finally, if you are lucky enough to find my cache (which may change as time passes and on what's available) please return it to it's hiding place, equal to or better than you found it. If not, Count Batula may visit you in the middle of the darkest of nights for a quick after-midnight snack! |
