The Route known as US-25 was a north–south US highway that ran from Brunswick, GA all the way to Port Austin, MI.

From Detroit Through Roseville and heading towards Port Huron, Gratiot Avenue had the distinction of having this Route Number prior to the completion of the parallel-running I-94 in the Mid-1970's. This route was very busy and heavily-travelled as it was the most direct-route between Detroit and Port Huron.

This area has seen many changes over the years, including the building of the Macomb Mall, suburban sprawl, and many other new roads and highways.

The local Hotels and Restaurants used to thrive much more than they have since that time as the amount of traffic along Gratiot was higher and the speeds are much slower, and you could catch a motorists attention a lot easier then... Vs. nowadays when most passers-by are on the Freeway and miss much of the local flavor and culture of the area.

This cache is a dedication to a bygone-era when people seemed to move a little slower...and not as rushed to get somewhere else. It's also a nice "rest stop" along the road for many Travel Bugz to rest their weary feet, wings, wheels, or "whatever".

Please take care when visiting the area, as it's been placed in order to give some well-needed rest to those who are staying here, albeit temporarily.

There can also be many muggles in close proximity to the cache...as well as the local Security Force that helps to keep the peace in the area and evil-doers from doing their worst.

This area has been known to be a challenge to access after a good, soaking rain or springtime thaw.
