The railway track of Meitetsu Mikawa line (sea line) to Kirayoshida station was abolished. Hekinan station became a terminal in 2004. There was Tamatsuura station in the southern part of Hekinan station. Tamatsuura station was at the entrance to Tamatsuura seaside resort. Tamatsuura seaside resort was opened in 1915 along the beach in the southern part of Hekinan City. The seaside resort also received damage by the Ise bay typhoon's in 1959, and the seaside resort disappeared because of protection of the bank, making the Kinuura seaside industrial zone thereafter. The station was known as a station with the least number of passengers among the railway lovers. There are not signboards with station name. Please do not enter off-limits place.
