In celebration of my 100th cache find I am placing this cache which is close to my local area.
This cache is a small camo clip lock type box with log book- pencil and a few swaps, im also starting my first travel racer from this cache. It has a £1 coin for the FTF so they can get some sweeties, TB & GC also welcome,
Please use extreme stealth when retrieving and replacing the cache as this is a very popular area for dog walkers (watch out)
Two Parking spaces are available, down the lane and it is a small stroll down path into the woods N52.46.351 E000.27.292
Reffley Wood is gradually returning to its ancient roots. At present dominated by Scots and Corsican pine and Douglas fir, a restoration programme will re-establish broadleaved woodland, remnants of which can still be found, including a hazel and hawthorn understorey. In the northeast corner is a row of veteran oaks, which once marked the parish boundary and red oaks, can be seen at the entrance.
Many flowers associated with ancient woodland thrive along the wide rides, including bluebells, primrose and wild garlic.
Generally a flat site, some paths stay dry throughout the year while others can become particularly wet in winter.
Thanks to the woodland trust for granting permission to place a cache.
