(ENG) ALPINUM JULIANA...
...is the only Slovenian alpine botanical garden and is situated in Trenta valley, near river Soča.
Our mountain's rich and diverse plant life has very early in the pioneering times of plant-life discoveries drawn the attention of naturalists. There are central European, Iliric and submediteranean plant elements mixing in Southeastern carbonaceous Alps, even some evmediteranean plants can be found here.
Botanical garden has been established and arranged by Albert Bois de Chesne in 1927. He has also found and chosen suitable gardeners. Even thou the location of the garden has some disadvantages for plants used to high mountain conditions, you can find there very diverse and most beautiful plants from Slovenian Alps, subalpine and karstic areas.
Garden is not only a treasure for professional botanists, but is foremost there for everybody in love with pristine nature and mountains. True, Juliana is most beautiful in May and beginning of June when Primroses and Gentians are blooming and not much latter Daphne, Saxifrage and Rhododendron. But there is still so many small, from distance unremarkable plants which are also worth a stop and closer look.
Juliana is open from May 1st to September 30th. There is an entrance fee to pay.
Cache is set outside of garden. But it's worth to take time to visit garden too.
Since GPS reception is sometimes very unstable, we can tell you, that cache is located just few meters from path leading towards botanical garden. You can also use spoiler image for help.

SOČA HIGHLIGHTS SERIES ALREADY HAS SEVERAL GEOCACHES PUBLISHED. YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN GEOCACHE TO THE SERIES IF IT COMPLIES TO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Cache points to one of the natural wonders, cultural or historical monuments anywhere in the Soca valley.
2. Access to the cache is easy, preferably not far from possible parking spot; At least, it doesn't take more than 1 hour to get from car to cache and back.
3. Cache is not too difficult to find.
4. Add "SHXX" in front of your geocache name, where "XX" represents the corresponding serial number of the cache in the series.
(SI) ALPINUM JULIANA...
...je edini slovenski alpski botanični vrt, leži v dolini Trenta, nedaleč od bistre reke Soče.
Bogato in pestro rastlinstvo naših gora je ze zelo zgodaj, prav v pionirskih časih raziskovanja naše flore, pritegnilo zanimanje naravoslovcev. V Jugovzhodnih Apneniških Alpah se prepletajo alpski, srednjeevropski, ilirski in submediteranski florni elementi, nekaj je celo evmediteranskih rastlin.
Vrt je leta 1927 uredil Albert Bois de Chesne in zanj tudi poiskal vrtnarje. Kljub nekaterim pomanjkljivostim lege vrta, ki se jim ni mogoce ogniti, vidimo v njem najznačilnejse in najlepše predstavnice rastlinstva naših Alp, njihovega predgorja in tudi kraškega sveta.
Vrt ni namenjen samo botanikom, ki se poklicno ukvarjajo s floro, ampak predvsem tistim, ki so jim pri srcu gore in narava. Res, Juliana je najlepša v maju in začetku junija, ko cvetijo jegliči in svišči, malo kasneje pa volčini, kamnokreči, klinčki in sleči. Vendar pa je tu se toliko drobnih, morda resnično manj opaznih rastlin, ki so enako lepe in vredne, da se ob njih ustavimo.
Juliana je odprta od 1. maja do 30. septembra. Za obisk je potrebno plačati vstopnino.
Zaklad je izven vrta. Vredno pa si je vzeti čas tudi za ogled vrta.
Ker je ponavadi GPS sprejem zelo nestabilen, lahko povemo, da se zakladek skriva le par metrov od poti, ki vodi k Juliani. V pomoč vam je lahko tudi "spoiler" slikica.

4. Pred ime svojega zaklada dodajte "SHXX", kjer XX predstavlja ustrezno zaporedno številko zaklada v seriji.
