This is the first geocache in Bocas del Toro, Panamá. You will need
to hire a water taxi to get to Isla Carenero.
Columbus discovered this group of islands on his 4th voyage. The
names of some of the islands are named after him. Pirates hung out
here to ambush the Spanish treasure fleet that had to sail past on
thier way back to Spain. Some say there is gold and treasure hidden
on these islands but no one has reported finding any. ( I wouldn´t
either). There is one treasure on the island that is real and that
is our treasure. Go and find it. Have a great time in Bocas del
Toro. Hide your own Geocache as well!
