Geocache Description:

At the end of a footpath down to the River Lynher through the middle of Sheviock Wood or just above the HW (MHWS) mark if approaching from seaward (achievable about 1.5hrs either side of HW).

Parking can be found at the end of Georges Lane which leaves about 500m to go to the GZ. If you are quiet you may spot the deer which live in the woods and you will almost certainly see pheasants. Please do not enter the woods as they are currently being treated for Phylophtora Ramorum which, although not danger to humans, is very dangerous to many of our native trees and is in the process of being contained. At the river you look across to Erth Hill with St Germans not far away on your left and the Tamar a couple of miles further down river on your right.

I have recently been informed (by parents) that the building opposite (now in a state of decay) marked the other terminus of a ferry which used to cross at this point (when it stopped is not known).

Terrain is marked as a three to take into account the likely condition of the path in winter and is probably only a 2 in the summer - walking boots as a minimum is recommended. The cache is placed above the high water mark.
