Chadsey Lake was formerly known as
"Lost Lake" on some of the
old provincial
maps. It was officially
named in 1939 after a pioneer farmer named William
Harvey
Chadsey. He was the third of
four brothers that farmed the Chilliwack prairie in
the
latter part of the last
century. The lake is located in the northern part of
Sumas
Mountain Regional Park on the
North facing slope of Sumas Mountain.
There was only one cache here
placed back in 2006 and we wanted to bring more
cachers here to visit this
beautiful lake so this series was born. It is a short walk
to
the trailhead if you park at the
second gate.  The sign at the trailhead states a
1.8km
return hike at approximately 1
hour.  Allow yourself at least 2 1/2 hours on the
trails
and longer if you wish to
enjoy the lake especially in spring when bass fishing is
supposed to be good. Â
We hope you enjoy the series!
