Traditionally Nautoey have been the boat people’s paradise. Smal calm bays, islets with beaches.
Turen kan nesten tas som ein “drive thru” men det anbefales å parkere i ein av endene og sykkle eller gå mellom dei ulike cachene for å få mest ut av turen. Det er gang og sykkelvei heile veien. Samme parkering som til #1 - Gassasundet og #2 Bømlabrua
The series is almost a drive thru but we recomend to park at one end and walk or ride a bike between the caches to get the most out off the trip. There is a walk and bike road next to the road. Same parking as #1- Gassasundet and #2 Bømlabrua
Frå cachen her på Nautøy ser ein rett over på Spissøy. Spissøy er ei av øyene som vart landfaste når Trekansambandet opna. Det har alltid budd folk på øya men i Mars 1960 vart skulen nedlagt då det berre var ein elev. I 1982 var det 5 fastbuande på øya.
Historia til Spissøy viser at det har vore strid og lang behandlingstid på mindre vei prosjekt enn Trekansambandet. I boka Under Flo – Over Flu kan me lese om Soga om Spissøyvegen. Der Ola M. Spissøy i Januar1935 stod i spissen for å søke Moster kommune om å få bygge vei fra østsida til vestsida på øya. Dei som søkte ville gi fri grunn og grus til veien. Sommaren 1936 kjem ”Hovudplansoverslag” frå Overingeniøren for veivesenet i Hordaland, der vegen over Spissøy vert kalkulert til 15 000,-kr.
Januar 1937 gjer Moster heradstyre vedtak om finansieringsplan for vegen over Spissøy, som skal arbeidast opp over ein periode på 15 år. Noko med pliktarbeid og frivillige dagsverk frå folket på Spissøy. Ting tok tid også på den tida så det gjekk litt meir enn 15 år, men i november 1961 kunne endeleg den 670 m lange vegen opnast.

Spissøy is an island that was connected to the mainland at Sveio and to Bømlo when Trekantsambandet opened.
It has always been people living on the island but in March 1960 the school closed because it was only 1 student left. In 1982 there were 5 people living on the island.
History from Spissøy shows that there have been strife and long turnaround time for smaller road projects than Trekansambandet. In the book “Under Fjord – Over Flu” can we read about the saga of the road on Spissøy. Ola M. Spissøy in January 1935 was the front person, in applying Moster County to have a road build from east to west on the island. They who applied would provide free land and gravel to the road. During the summer of 1936 the main plan estimates from the engineer in the road authorities in Hordaland came. The road of Spissøy where calculated to 15 000, - n.kr.
In January 1937 the county made and decided upon a financing plan for the road over Spissøy. The work would be done over a period op 15 years and the inhabitents on Spissøy had to give some duty and some volunteer work-days to the project.
Things took time also back then so it took a little more than 15 years but in November 1961 the 670 meters long road finaly was opened.
