Geocache Description:

This is a micro magnetic nano cache located near High Crompton Park in Shaw

High Crompton park is a 5.7 hectare park that has held a Greenflag for the last four years. It is located off Rochdale Road, High Crompton and is easliy accessible via public transport. The park comprises of a crown green bowling green that is well used by the local community, two tennis courts, childrens play area, extensive ornamental gardens and recreation areas. The park is well represented by the Friends group who are responsible for the Annual Country fair held in September each year. A permanent gardening presence ensures the park is well maintained during daylight hours, with the partnership arrangement with Park Pride taking over during the evenings and weekends to ensure people feel comfortable when using the park.The land for the park was given to the district by Councillor Sir W Hopwood C.C on the 4th of October 1920. He also defrayed the cost of the bowling green.
