Foam Gulley is a spectacular part of Lihou Island. The gulley runs parallel to the coastline and is at it's best near high tide.
As the Atlantic swells roll into the gulley, they are whipped into a foam by a couple of obstructions until the sea resembles a meringue. Unfortunately, this cannot be witnessed by day visitors, so, to get the full effect, you will need to stay overnight.

The location of this cache was suggested by the warden and is there with his permission. Access is restricted during the bird breeding season and signs are erected around the roped off area, please respect this restriction. I have offered to remove or disable this cache during the restricted period, but the warden has asked me to keep it on line and he believes that geocachers should have enough common sense to follow the notices.
