Heading to Terrill Ridge from down in the Salt Creek valley? This cache is near your water side western on-ramp. The cache is placed just uphill from the western edge of the slope that leads up from the valley to 'Sapling Shelter' Ridge and from there on to Terrill Ridge.

To reach the cache the closest approach from a parking area is to park at Grubb Ridge and use the Axsom Branch Trail. Once the Axsom trail reaches its northernmost point depart the trail and follow the stream to the lake. Depending on water levels you can then walk around the shoreline to the on-ramp. Another good but much longer approach would be from the Terrill Ridge side. In that case find the ridge extension and follow the ridge all the way around. The descent is eased by an old road bed that continues all the way down until it reaches the lake near the cache.

Cache is a 1.2L lock-n-lock container.
