Geocache Description:

Always thought this spot needed a geocache to Welcome Geocachers to Hamburg! Quick C&D...BYOP! Plenty of parking at Ground Zero.

Hamburg Pennsylvania, once known as Kaercher Stadt or Kaerchertown after its founder Martin Kaercher, Jr. in 1787, is the northernmost town in Berks County. The name "Hamburgh" was adopted from the town of Hamburg, Germany since many of Hamburg’s first inhabitants were Germanic, a dialect that still lingers here today.

The title of the cache should help direct you where to look. Ground Zero should be obvious, so don't wander out on RTE 61. I checked the coordinates on Google Earth and adjusted them accordingly.

Congratulations to chopsticktown for FTF! Happy 10-10-10!
