Geocache Description:

You must enter the cemetery to find this cache, so no night caching! Also, please close the gate behind you.

The cemetery entrance is on Route 71.

This cache is located at the edge of a wooded area just behind Cowdrey Cemetery, a place that probably very few people ever notice. You'll be looking for a small camouflaged Lock and Lock hidden in a common manner.

Carol and I love finding old, out of the way cemeteries on our trips to other states, and this location is a good example of that type of place. This cemetery dates back to at least 1840, and there have been burials here as recently as 2004.

My short research project didn't turn up a lot of other information about the cemetery, but I do know there are at least a few members of the Cowdrey family buried here, including Col. W Cowdrey. If you have any other information about this place, please post it in a log, and I'll include it on the cache page.

We hope you find your visit to be interesting!
