A lovely, and seldom visited part of Horseshoe Quarry. Now owned by the BMC the quarry itself has become a leading sport climbing venue. This bit is tranquility itself only visited by dog walkers, rabbits and orchids!
****There is no requirement to go anywhere near the quarry edge/face when visiting this cache****
This cache can be accessed from two points. Either from the lay by on the A623 at N53 16.837 W001 41.454 follow the first track up to the right. Or better still walk in via the multiple paths from Eyam Village. Walk along Windmill Lane to N53.16.973 W001 40.978 and then follow the sign posted path down the hill into the woods. Take the gate to your right and keep following the path.
The 5 yr old helped with the cache hiding so as long as you don't let them loose in the quarry its an eminently suitable cache with kids.
Would make an obvious double cache with Hardcore You Know the Score.
Many thanks to the British Mountaineering Council for their permission to place the cache on their land.
