The cache is placed here to highlight St Mary's Priory Church.
St Mary's Priory was a monastery of Benadictine monks founded in
1087 with the church originally being for this priory. However,
after the Dissolution of the Monasteries, Henry VIII gave the
church to the parishioners for their Parish Church in 1543.
St Mary's Church is now one of the largest and finest Parish
Churches in Wales and has a peel of 10 bells. A visit to see the
church and it's many historic features is highly recommended. As is
a visit to the adjacent Tithe Barn which has interesting,
interactive displays and games ideal for children and adults. There
is also a great food hall here for the weary geocacher to find some
sustenance!
The Church and Tithe Barn are both free to visit but boxes are
available for those who wish to donate. For more information visit
