Geocache Description:

This is our first ever geocache (but its second incarnation). It is a quick cache and dash if you come into the park via the Ashford Road entrance or can be done as part of the Mote Park series if you fancy a walk and an ice cream, or the Weavering series if you happen to be in the area. Be warned - you may need tweezers.

For those who are interested, Andy (of the_roys) told me a little about the reason for this seemingly redundant gate. unfortunately it didn't lead 'anywhere exciting' (his words) it was in fact a storage area for the park keepers. Andy grew up in Weavering Street when it was 'just a street surrounded by orchards and fields (1960s-80s))' and at that time this gate provided the main entrance into the park. So there you go, it once was a gate to somewhere but now it's a gate to nowhere (but a good hidey hole for a cache :) ) Now can you find who it's trying to keep in/out?!
