Over a 1km walk uphill walk depending on where you park.
I could rephrase that and say “despite where you park” but I’m sure someone will prove me wrong.
In the days of Heroes and Dragons along the Derwent Valley there were three Giant brothers Con, Ben and Mug. They were the possessors of a large hammer, which at a whistle, each could throw up to 3 leagues (9 miles) from one to another. Their family home was Hollinside Manor and the legacy of the three brothers lives on in the names of Consett, Benfieldside and Muggleswick further up the valley.
“The first was Con – from him Conside is named until this day
His brother Ben to Benfieldside bequeathed his name for aye,
And Mug their mighty kinsman was a swarthy, right and tall
His name gave he to Muggleswick Moor where stood his Castle wall”
