Geocache Description:

This Cache In Trash Out (CITO) event is located at an MDOT carpool lot at Milford Rd. and I-96.

We, and many caching friends, use this carpool lot to get together before caching. It's a convenient spot to park and join up for the day's cache hunt. Unfortunately, it gets trashed. Since it was close to home we asked MDOT if we could adopt it. After some negotiating (MDOT didn't have an Adopt-A-Carpool Lot program... yet... officially), we were able to adopt it (thanks to Darlene). This is our second year.

We will meet at the grass circle near the entrance at 2:00 PM. The event will run from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

Trash bags will be provided as well as some other required gear from MDOT. Please prepare appropriately. Pants and gloves would be a good idea.

There may be more information to come as we have not received anything new from MDOT.

Here is a link to the video about picking up trash. It applies to Adopt-A-Highway, so it may seem out of place for what we are doing, but, as mentioned above, there is no "official" Adopt-A-Carpool Lot and no video for it.
