Cache dedicated to Tentha for coming to our rescue when stranded here.
This cache is dedicated to Tentha, who came to our rescue here. Very easy cache in a logical spot. This spot is the jumping off spot for 6 rugged hiking caches. Here's the story: Dodgerboy and his dad took off hiking to the caches while I stayed behind to guard the truck. To help pass the time, I was listening to a story on CD. After a while, the battery died (silly me for not thinking that would happen.) I had no cell phone service where we were parked. After a prayer for help, I walked out near the road and eventually found a spot where I got cell service. I called Tentha, who agreed to come to our rescue. After placing the call, when walking back to the truck, I noticed a spot to hide a cache. Tentha and his wife arrived just after Mr. Luvin Life and Dodgerboy got down off the hill, after hiking 5 miles. It only took a few minutes to get us on our way. So, thanks to our good friend for coming "to the rescue."
Moral of the story: Don't do something that will drain the vehicle battery while waiting for cachers to return. Carry an alternate power source in vehicle in case of battery failure. Have plenty of friend phone numbers in your cell phone, in case you are blessed enough to have phone service where you are stranded.
