La Givrine is located 20 km from Nyon and 50 km from Geneva or Lausanne, and is easily accessible both by train and by road. In summer this area is popular for hiking, and in winter it can become very busy and is popular for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and sledging/ tobogganing. And dog sled races are usually held here each January/Febuary. There are also a few restaurants nearby and plenty of parking.
The cache is a camouflaged tupperware container and is quite large, so has lots of space for swap items and travel bugs/ geocoins.
The cache should be accessible all year round and is located in the forest a bit off the path. In winter this path is used for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. The cache is hidden in a hole under a tree, so in deep snow may require a little digging.
In the lid of the cache, is a copy of one of my geocoins that can be logged as 'discovered' by visitors.
