Geocache Description:

It is said that there are 5 rats for every human being on the earth, which means you're no more than 15 metres from one at any given time. If you live in London, this figure rises to a rat proximity of 5 metres.

Lucky for you this isn’t London but how close are you......?

Rat Facts:

  • Rats' teeth are harder than aluminium or copper, they are strong enough to nibble through wood, bone, lead piping, brick, concrete, and metal.
  • The Bubonic Plague was not caused by rats but instead was caused by infected fleas that jumped off dead rats onto humans.
  • Beatrix Potter, the author of Peter Rabbit, was one of the first owners of a pet rat - an albino bred by Queen Victoria's royal rat catcher Jack Black.
  • Rats are eaten by humans in parts of China, Mexico and Africa.

The cache is a micro with room for the log only. Bring your own pencil.

You can add your own rat fact to your log if you wish.
