Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for the GCGV RACE-2010 event.

WELCOME
It has been over 70 years since that infamous attack on our world early Halloween evening. The initial destruction of Grover's Mill, NJ spread quickly westward. The tripod alien fighting machines decimated the resident life forms without mercy. In two short weeks the fighting was over and the remainder of man assumed an unaccustomed subservient role on this world. The end was quicker for the invaders thanks to one of the smallest of earth's creatures - germs. We are still recovering seven decades later and parks such as this, on the site of the former village of Quick's Bottom, will be a gentle reminder of how fragile our superiority of this world really is.
