Ever stood in 2 states at once? Well break out those digital cameras cuz here's your chance!
After noticing on google maps that the westernmost corner of Connecticut was right along the roadside, I knew I had to go and check it out to see if there was a marker. Sure enough, there was, which could only mean one thing... time to place a geocache!
This is my first cache in CT, and it is the westernmost in the entire state. Park at the listed waypoint, and make sure you're off the road (you could cross the street, walk around the blind curve, then cross the street again to be safe). Difficulty is easy, but Terrain is a 2.5 due to crazy drivers on this road. Have fun with the photo op at the state line corner marker, but PLEASE be careful, there is no shoulder on the road.
When at GZ you'll also find a letterbox literally right next to my cache... turns out my perfect spot on the CT side of the marker is mutually shared with someone else! That's okay, more smiley action for you, if letterboxing is your thing. The smaller container is mine, the larger one is the letter box. Sign both if you wish. The point of this cache isn't to be difficult, just to bring you to a cool spot that you might not otherwise have taken notice of.
