Ba_a_adboy: GeoCrater said I can’t wait for the community to fix the location and make it safe for Geocachers to find my cache. So, I have to archive it so other Geocachers can enter the hazardous area to enjoy.
“While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever.
Please either repair/replace this cache in the next thirty days, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and cachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.” GeoCrater
This Geocache was placed in 2010 and endured my deployment to Afghanistan for a year, and my relocation to Japan for 3 years. I retired from active service, returned and monitored the cache. However, the cache location couldn’t withstand Hurricane Idalia and left the location too hazardous to keep the cache active (The billboard is leaning and could fall on someone). 60 days was too long to keep the cache inactive without receiving this little love letter.
I bid you adieu…
