Geocache Description:

You will find this cache nearby the Yulong river, which is a nice river with some amazing views on the surrounding hills.

The coordinates of this cache lead you to a remarkable tree.

The story of Jule and Pelle's Treasure Box:

During our stay in the wonderfull surroundings of Yangshuo, China, we did a treasure hunt with the kids, Jule and Pelle, aged 4 and 5. They loved it very much and wanted to hide their own treasure box, so that's how this cache initiated. They personalised a big box with their own paintings and filled it up with little treasures.

You will find this cache nearby the Yulong river, which is a nice river with some amazing views on the surrounding hills. Some 200 metres up north on the road you can get on a bamboo raft and enjoy a joyfull trip on the Hulong River, also descending some waterfalls, lots of fun guaranteed ! (bikes will be transported to your arrival place)

The coordinates of this cache lead you to a remarkable tree. Although it's already very old, it looks like it's having a lot of fun, growing in all directions and moving with the wind, so that's why it is called "The Giggling Tree" locally.

First the cache was hidden by Jule and Pelle nearby the tree, but the local kids, who love to play around the tree, discovered it very quickly, that's why it is moved to a safer place now !

36 m heading east is the reception of a hostel, you can ask for the cache there, you will be welcomed very friendly, no commercial offerings will be made, don't worry !

Jule is already gone home with us, but you can probably meet and greet Pelle, the son of the Dutch owners of this Hotel, Pauline and Karst. During weekdays he attends a Chinese school in the city (except on Wednesday). Although he's still very young, he speaks Dutch, English and Chinese and he will love to tell you about his treasure box !

Happy caching !

greetings from Jule and Pelle
