Geocache Description:

This cache is located in North Kirtland (Temple) Cemetery.

As I was placing this cache, the church bells began playing the song, "Let There Be Peace on Earth" which is how the cache got its name.

You are looking for a typical cemetery hide of a 35mm film can. Usual cemetery rules apply - only hunt during daylight hours and no pets allowed. Parking is best found off of Conley Dr.

Joseph Smith Jr., the founder of the Latter Day Saints movement, lived in Kirtland in the 1830's (from 1831-1837). Across the street from the cemetery on Conley Drive, you will find the house Joseph lived in with his wife, Emma from 1834-1837. You can also see the Kirtland Temple (built 1836) from the other direction, the first LDS church constructed under Joseph Smith's hand.
