Kearney's Route of the SFT preceded the settlement of Rayado. It joins with SFT from Cimarron via Rayado at a point south of here, as trails converge on way to Sweetwater. Some maps show this as Alona Creek, the namesake is Olona & came after SFT was established. Visible ruts to south go uphill.
