Geocache Description:

Cache is not at listed coordinates (no longer a potential parking place as of July 2, 2011). Cache is a gold ammo can hidden in the Sandias that can be located after finding the other 8 "nearby" trailmaster caches hidden in the Sandia mountains and along South 14 (Hwy 337 south of Tijeras).

These Trailmaster caches are dedicated to those rugged individuals who have placed and found caches on the trails of the Sandias. This cache container is the larger gold ammo can presented by generous NM cachers for my 5000th find (at the Picnic in the Pines event).

Starting SWAG includes a FTF (or whoever dares to take it) novelty t-shirt utilizing the photography/photoshop skills of CM92 and my ironing skills, plus some ready-made caches - still plenty of room for caches in the Sandias and a few other trinkets for hearty hikers.

The terrain rating reflects that you had to hike at least 30 miles to visit the other 8 trailmaster caches and then a roundtrip to this cache.

The other trailmaster caches each contained a clue to the location of this cache, a number in the lid and in the log book. Using these numbers,

A = number in North Sandia Trailmaster Silver (GC2GQD8)
B = # in North Sandia Trailmaster Gold (GC2GHBV)
C = # in Central Sandia Trailmaster Silver (GC2GHCM)
D = # in Central Sandia Trailmaster Gold (GC2GHD6)
E = # in South Sandia Trailmaster Silver (GC2GK3Z)
F = # in South Sandia Trailmaster Gold (GC2GQ9Z)
G = # in South 14 Trailmaster Silver (GC2F198)
H = # in South 14 Trailmaster Gold (GC7XZVY)

the cache is at

N35 (A+B-C)(C+D-H).(D+E-H)(B+E-G)(A+D-C)

W106 (B+E-D)(B+C-D).(D+F-E)(B+H-G)(F+C-A)

Contact me if you did a trailmaster cache and lost/forgot the number in the lid (no need to do them again). Also, this summer I am going to start placing caches in honor of each "trailmaster" along these same trails. If you had a favorite trail, let me know in your log and I will see if I can place another cache there honoring you.
