At 20.10 (GMT) on 20/10/2010 Rushall Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and their leaders will be joining with 500,000 others girls all over the country retaking their promises to commemorate the end a year long celebration of the centenary of Guiding.
This cache is a reincarnation of GC186FV Rushall Hall View released to coincide with this momentous occasion.
At 20.10 (GMT) on 20/10/2010 thousands of members of Guiding will be retaking their promise all over the UK and many other countries. West Mercia County, which covers much of the West Midlands area, will be retaking their promise at Bescot Stadium, where around 5,000 members will ending a memorable year of celebrations for our centenary. The guests there will range from the youngest Rainbow, aged 5, to the oldest member of the Trefoil Guild, whose ages I will not reveal but you do have to be 65 to join, a lady never discloses her age.
Here is a copy of each of the promises and what we will be reciting on the 20th October 2010.
Rainbow Promise.
'I promise that I will do my best to love my God and be kind and helpful'.
Brownie Promise.
I promise that I will do my best:
To love my God,
To serve the Queen and my country,
To help other people
and
To keep the Brownie Guide Law.
Guide Promise.
I promise that I will do my best:
To love my God,
To serve the Queen and my country,

To keep the Guide Law.
