To Spiderman From Marilyn Traditional Cache
taylormccomb: Unfortunately this cache was stolen by muggles a few months ago.
I have replaced this cache twice, both times due to hurricanes. I want to replace this cache (again) in memory of my dear friend Chris whom passed away in 2006 but everything in my heart feels the time has come to allow this beautiful place to belong to another cache.
I can only hope that the next person to hide a cache here will do it respectfully and possibly in honor of someone dear to them. I can also hope the 10+ years that “To Superman, From Marilyn” remained hidden (and found) by numerous geocachers at this gorgeous location that it brought joy to those who found it legitimately through geocaching. And that it also showed others how precious and short life is through the photo and contents of my friend Chris’s memorial cache for many years.

This cache is placed in memory of my dear best friend, Chris, whom passed away in September 2006. I place this cache here because he grew up in this area and when I would visit him, we would go to this "hidden beach" all the time together. We were usually with beer or wine glass in hand and many a time would make a bonfire or just sit and talk for hours on the sand looking out onto the beautiful view or up at the stars.
It is named To Spiderman From Marilyn because that was our nicknames for each other.
This cache holds beer caps (34) and wine corks (7) to commemerate our many visits here late at night. Each year I will add a beer cap in honor of each year of his birthday and a wine cork in honor of each year he's been gone. Please feel free to trade items, that is if you want a beer cap or cork, but there is room for trackables/tradeables of other kinds too.
Please place cache exactly as found and respect the contents as you will see they are dedicated to him.
Cache can hold small items and has a log. No pen (usually). BYOP.
Terrain is simple.... area may flood in major rain or snow but nothing serious.
No thorns.
No ticks.
No bushwacking.
Possible spider web/bugs near cache.
Few muggles.
An easy park and grab.
Parking at one point was NOT allowed on the side of the road near the cache but you can park within 5 ft of cache so you won't technically have to "leave" your car or walk far from it. If you DO want to park and visit this beautiful beach after finding the cache, parking is allowed up the street.
