An ammo can hidden in the foothills of the Calico Mountains.
We had noticed that there were not very many caches hidden on the Northern Side of the Calico Mountains. We set out to explore the area and place a few caches. We wound our way up the hills and found this area. This is the point where we decided to turn around since our vehicle was 4wd but stock. I placed the cache while my other half turned the car around.
Getting to this cache will require 4wd or ORV. Do not attempt this if you don't have an appropriate vehicle. A stock 4wd can get here - its just a steeper slope with loose rock that is your concern. The cache is an ammo can hidden in a rock outcropping. Don't forget to take in the view while you are here. As always, watch out for desert creatures.
