MOG - Mostly Only Geocaching -Come to Mark Twain Lake -Sentry Ridge Camping area of Indian Creek and find some of the hundreds of caches you missed at MOGA. This is a weekend event any time from Friday late afternoon - Sunday Nov 5-7, 2010. It is not deer (rifle) season, but other small animals are in season outside of the Corp recreation areas. Blaze orange is a must, make sure you have it.
The coord given is the Sentry Ridge Camping area of Indian Creek. Camping is first come - no reservation. The plan is mostly finding old MOGA caches you have not found, with a couple food events mixed in. There are some MOGA "Western" theme park & grab type caches around the lake. Hunting is prohibited in all the developed recreation areas like Indian Creek. Refer to the "Related Web Page" link for map with the no hunting areas.
In the no hunting areas there are 148 caches in the following recreation areas:
Indian Creek - 92 caches
John F Spalding - 29 caches
Robert E allen - 8 caches
Stoutsville - 19 caches
Non- Caching Stuff
Friday Night - Camp Fire at one of the camp site.
Saturday - Pot Luck Dinner (someones camp site)
Sunday - BubbaBlaze mentioned the waffle breakfast at the VFW
If you are not into the camping thing there are many little hotels and resorts to stay in the area.
A bike might be nice if some of the gates are locked.
