Geocache Description:

The cache is in the groynes near the fishing lakes.

You will not need to get wet to find the Cache.

The cache is in a 400ml green sistema container. You have to be under 17 to fish in the ponds. You can park at the groynes however the gates are locked at night. Gates open at 7am and close at

• January–February 9pm
• March 8pm then 7pm (daylight savings ends)
• April 6.30pm
• May 6pm
• June–August 5.30pm
• September 6pm
• October 6.30pm then 8pm (daylight saving begins)
• November 8.30pm
• December 9pm.
Or if you want 24/7 access you can turn off at the sign saying Clearwater resort about 1 km closer than the groynes turn off if you are coming from Christchurch. Park where the sign says walking track car park. Then walk over the bridge and turn right you will see the groynes sign as you come into the park.
