Après 2 précédentes lieux, ce lieux du souvenir est située depuis 1901 près de cette cache (ou l'inverse). Le bâtiment est dû à l'architecte PASCALON.
C'est en 1906 que furent transférées dans la crypte les ossements des victimes, entourant le tombeau du Général Comte de Précy, commandant des Lyonnais, qui avait pu s'échapper de Lyon. Il y eu 2000 victimes qui furent guillotinées, égorgées ou mitraillées, certaines pour leur attachement à la foi chrétienne, on compte 103 prêtres ou religieux, les autres sur dénonciation ou pour des raisons politiques. La liste détaillée des victimes est disponible dans la chapelle.
Le 2 Août 1906, la chapelle fut bénie, sous le vocable de Sainte Croix. A l'origine, les pères capucins en eurent la garde, puis depuis mai 1979, c'est la "Famille Missionnaire de Notre-Dame" qui a pris le relais.
L'édifice est la propriété de l'association "Commission du Monument Religieux des Brotteaux".

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
In Lyon, there is a chapel in memory of victims during french revolution (1793). After two previous locations, since 1901 it is located near the cache (or vice versa).
The building is due to the architect Pascalon. In 1906, the bones of victims were transferred into the crypt, around the tomb of General Count Précy, Commander Lyon, who had escaped from Lyon. There were 2,000 victims who were guillotined, their throats cut or machine-gunned, some for their commitment to the Christian faith, there are 103 priests or religious men, the other after denonciation or for political reasons. The detailed list of victims is available in the chapel.
On August 2, 1906, the chapel was blessed under the title of Holy Cross. Originally, the Capuchin Fathers were in charge of the chapel, and since May 1979, the "Family Missionary of Our Lady" has taken over.
The building is owned by the association "Commission du Monument Religieux des Brotteaux".
The chapel is surrounded by a small garden and has at its heart the ossuary in memory of the victims. To visit the ossuary, take an appointment at 04 78 24 30 82, between 10h & 17h (no visits on Sundays, Wednesdays & school holidays).
