Love this area of the desert! Go straight and you eventually get back to I-10, go left and you eventually get to a malpais area covered with lava flows. The malpais are a very interesting area where the rocks look like they cooled just a few years ago. Forty feet deep crevasses that you can step across and sink holes that have become mini oases complete with grass and trees. Quite interesting.
