Geocache Description:

This is a small cache with limited room for small TBs and Geocoins. Although it is located on King County property, you will be in a residential neighborhood so please limit yourself to searching during daylight hours so as not to freak out the residents.

This cache is dedicated to Mr. Paul George, Cub Scout den leader, former Cubmaster and Scouting enthusiast extraordinaire.

In addition to being one of the key leaders for Woodinville Cub Scout Pack 552, Mr. George is also a big supporter of our furry little friends, particularly raccoons.

One summer night at Cub Scout Resident Camp after all the Cubs were asleep, Mr. George was studying probability theory with several other dads (including the CO) using a deck of 52 cards and various colored chips. During the middle of a particularly interesting experiment (trying to fill an inside straight) Mr. George looked up and said “what’s that sound. Did anybody hear that?” He quickly reached for the nearest flashlight and shined it into his tent, about fifty feet away. There, sitting on Mr. George’s bunk was a raccoon, happily chewing on Mr. George’s tube of toothpaste. “Gosh,” I said, “I never knew raccoons were so interested in good dental hygiene.” Unfortunately our furry friend was scared by the light and ran off, never to be seen again. Except of course, in Mr. George’s dreams, as he spent all night waking up at the slightest sound, thinking his new found friend was back for some mouthwash.

So here’s to you Mr. George. Thanks for being such a great scout leader. I’m sure if this geocache could talk, it would say “thank you” too. At least for the toothpaste.

TB dog tags & a geocaching lanyard for FTF. Five Pack 552 wooden nickels for the first Cub Scout To Find.

CONGRATS to Sourgum for the FTF!! Glad to hear so many comments on the camo. Just remember, it's toothpaste, not rabies (actually, it's white Gorilla glue, but it's the thought that counts.)

PS - Any pack 552 Cub Scouts that ink the log, just let your Cubmaster know that you found the cache by describing the hide, and you'll get a wooden nickel.
