This is our first cache, its hidden pretty well but it has some fun stuff in it.
This cache is a great way to find our about the begining of the Randolph Trails that run thoughout the town. The best place to park is in Mount Freedom park and hike to the end of the park behind the sports fields (this is not marked but it is an offical trailhead)
Enjoy

I was asked to add this
If you can add a note that there is a hunt going on and cachers MUST stay on the trails Mon - Sat to avoid any problems, That would be great. No Sunday Hunting is allowed on the green lands in town, so there should be no problem with going off trail.
The following areas in Randolph Township are going to be open to hunting Mon - Sat from Sept. 14 - through the end of January 2014. Sundays the hunting is closed in the green lands and parks. Please use caution and STICK to the trails, people heading off of the trails risk receiving a citation for failure to stick to the trails, especially during the hunting season. The primary reason for the hunting is to reduce the deer population below the almost 2000 deer on 22 sq miles. The disease and lyme disease issues should also decrease as we aim to reduce the herd to a reasonable size over the next few years. You may notice that as you walk through the parks that you can see across the forest understory, since it has been over browsed by the deer, that too can hopefully, be reversed.
The following areas are open to hunting:
Randolph Township green lands off of Park Ave Cohn Farm tract Brundage Park Freedom Park James Andrews Park (run by Morris County) Millbrook Valley Nitti Mountain & Moutainside House Hidden Valley Park Heisteins Park Colemans Hollow Clyde Potts Reservoir area (managed by Morris County)
Special Note: The Colemans Hollow area will be closed on specific days from Oct 15 - Dec 30, extending into Mendham's Buttermilk Falls area due to a Shotgun drive. Any people found in the woods run an extremely high risk of a summons.
Please take these warnings seriously as safety is the main concern and keeping a good relationship with caching a close second.
