Geocache Description:

Park at the car park at the Northern end of Waihi Beach S 37° 23.730 E 175° 56.260.

From here walk North along the beach and head up the track towards Orokawa Beach.

Look for a track junction at S 37° 23.421 E 175° 56.425. This is a steep narrow track which is slightly overgrown and can be slippery when wet. This track will lead you down to the Penguin Caves.

Take a torch with you and explore the tunnels that have been made into the cliff face down on the beach. There is also occasionally the odd penguin found in the bay or in the caves.

Continue on to Orokawa Bay for a swim and another couple of Geocaches which are over that way.
