Geocache Description:






Please join us at the Mandarin Regional Library from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the community conference room (near the bathrooms) for a Geocaching 101 Class and an impromptu Meet and Greet.



When I first started caching, I was so confused. MEFF, Muggles, Pocket Queries, Travel bugs, Pathtags, LNL, BoJab..........

These were as clear as a foreign language. Whether you've been there or are there, this is an Event for you. We will be covering three geocaching basics. Premium Memberships, trackables, and hiding a geocache.

Hiding your first geocache:

All the materials will be there for you to make and hide your first cache: containers, logs, FTF gifts, SWAG, and Geocaching.com's requirements and guidelines. There will even be some cool suggestions on places to hide them. And if needed, we will assist you with the hide and cache page development.

Trackables:

Learn how to activate an unactivated coin, log a trackable that you picked up, discover a coin, and set up a cache page for your own trackable.


If you are new to the area and just want to meet some of your local geocachers, please come out to this event. There will be seasoned cachers to answer your questions and even take you for a run of the Mandarin area. Not only will you get to meet some of the people who put caches in this area but you might also learn some trade secrets.
